Term 3, first post!

Welcome back, parents!

We are back form the Songkran break, refreshed and ready to learn again!

This term, our Inquiry unit is focusing on Plants and Animals. We will looking into their form (what they look like), their functions (what they need to survive), and finally our responsibilities towards plants and animals around us.

We started off Week #1 of Term 3 with the letter A and learned about things that are alive and not alive, alligators, and airplanes! What a fun week!

Our first Star of the Week has been awarded to Shinemon! Shinemon showed enormous improvement during his first week back in terms of his new confidence and independence! Amazing job, buddy!

Unfortunately, we had a busy day and didn't get a chance to take a proper picture, but we will!

This week, we welcomed a new student into our Nursery class. Her name is Cake! :)

Learning about the difference between things that are alive and non-living can be a very tough concept for young English learners to understand, yet the kids were such good listeners and asked great questions!

We know that living things need: water, food, they usually breathe, grow, and sometimes move.
We decided to see if we could change a seemingly non-living thing (a mung bean) into a living thing (a plant) by adding water to simple cotton balls along with the seeds...let's see what happens on Monday!

We had a great time learning about airplanes this week! We found them outside, watched cool videos about them, made some on paper, and even did a great airplane role play game!

And here are just some cute and fun photos from the week... Have a lovely weekend everyone! :)
